Having spent some or most of our work life in a cube, which is technically a box, we knew there had to be a better life outside the cube. No matter how large your cube, it's still a boxed environment right? Definition of a Cube: "a solid bounded by six equal squares, the angle between any two adjacent faces being a right angle". Yeah, it means box.Yet how ironic that most of us are encouraged to think outside the box. How can you think about life outside a box when your work life is confined to a box? How can you effectively communicate with global or virtual teams if you never see them, know what they look like or know what inspires or motivates them? How can you quickly find people working on that special project or Ruby programmers to round out your new team?
The solution? cubeless. A new way to live your work life and manage your travel life outside the box and explore ways to work on virtual teams, meet and know your "cubemates", global peers and supporting department folks. It has three main functionalities; a robust employee profile lookup, a brilliant question & answer tool and self exploration tags. People with similar interests or expertise can search on tags based on their activity within the community. This creates a unique social network inside the company that connects employees and management through commonalities. Permission to travel, work and live outside of a box.
